Title I Reading at VACDES
Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary School’s Title I program is a federally funded supplemental education program that provides assistance to children in grades K -4 who are experiencing difficulty in reading. The purpose of the Title I program is to help students develop proficient reading skills by providing additional learning time and specialized instruction.
We support student learning by working with students in small group settings aimed at meeting the individual needs of our learners. We also work within the classroom to support teachers and students.
Our program offers the following:
o The program is available to students in grades K through 4.
o Students receive additional instruction 5 days per week.
